GEOS Demo
An included demo disk illustrates and demonstrates some of the applications for GEOS.

GeoPublish
Among other applications for GEOS is GeoPublish, another WYSIWYG word processor but also combines drawing abilities.

GEOS Games
There are also a large number of games that are designed to run inside the GEOS environment.

GEOS Crash
Uh, whoops. I was messing around doing some stuff I shouldn't and I made it crash. Apparently some types of system errors can be detected and handled in the GUI.

GEOS Q-Link bundle
Finally, I found this quite interesting. This version of GEOS is bundled with an on-line communication program for a service called Quantum Link.

Quantum Link
Quantum Link was a very popular on-line service specifically for Commodore 64 computers. Quantum Link opened in November 1985, eventually created spin off services for other platforms such as PC-Link, and eventually grew in to what we now know as America Online.

Quantum Link featured interactive chat, online games, an online store, and, of course, news.

The Commodore 64 specific Q-Link service remained popular for a long time and continued until November 1994 when it was shut down by AOL in favor of newer platforms. Many Quantum Link customers switched to the AOL service on a PC or Mac, but the AOL client was not available for the Commodore 64.
