Voices from the FFUN:
"I have met thousands of disabled people over the internet and they are thrilled with being able to participate in society through the use of the new technology. Many of them use Macintoshes and some even use Linux, and they all wonder how Microsoft can claim they were souly responsible for creating a new world for these people. "

DOJ Case: Whaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!!!
The judge found us guilty of abusing our so-called "monopoly" and now they want to split us up and do bad thing to us. This is just so unfair! We don't care what they say, we are going to go ahead and do whatever we want.

We are going to appeal for all eternity because we are right and Judge Jackson is WRONG! We need to be allowed to do whatever we want to do with our software. How else can we crush competition, by making better quality products? Ha!

We knew this was coming, so we made sure all of our software is so tightly woven together that even WE couldn't de-integrate it if we wanted to!  Heck, last time we appealed in 1998 they let us off just when we just claimed Win 98 was "integrated" with IE. Suckers. They just didn't have the balls to stand in our way.

"We will continue to integrate stupid shit in to our operating system and stuff it down users throats", implied Microsoft Chairman Bill Gates. "We hardly did anything to settle this case, we will probably resolve this by killing those who oppose us. Perhaps we will get lucky and we don't have to do that, because those saps let us fuck users over by forcing Windows 98/2000 users to use our web browser for everything they do. So PLPLPTH!!!"

Gates added: "Microsoft's past success has been built on ripping off ideas and fucking users over, and our future success depends on our ability to continue to fuck users over and squash competition"

In addition, Microsoft President and CEO Steve Ballmer threw a tantrum and went on to rant about how good Microsoft was and how the government was evil and all.

"We will kick their asses," said Bill Neukom, executive vice president for law, corporate affairs and Marketing. "They can't prevent us from doing whatever the hell we want to do with our software or how we do business."

Added Neukom: "We are going to make this thing last for years and years, and by then we will OWN the DOJ anyway. Problem is they see the situation as it really is, and not as our Marketing department has the rest of the world seeing it. Where the rest of the world sees a happy friendly company all they see is the bloody corpses of the companies we have killed or maimed. We just cant control those bastards... yet"

I am concerned with how this Microsoft trial has come down. Microsoft has been a mediocre computer software company and is trying to make up for it by bundling anything users don't want with their operating system in the name of "innovation". If all that happens is a continuous appeal then nothing will change and Microsoft will continue to misbehave.

As an avid AOL user I think I have plenty of experience with computers. If they break up Microsoft it will be much harder for me to find the software I want because I will have many choices instead of just the one, and then I will have to use my brain more and I don't want to do that.
